DREAMS Foundation Partners with Girl Scouts of South Carolina—Mountains to Midlands.
Partnership supports an annual scholarship for Gold Award Girl Scouts and STEM learning opportunities for girls across South Carolina
COLUMBIA, S.C. — The DREAMS Foundation is proud to announce its partnership with Girl Scouts of South Carolina—Mountains to Midlands (GSSC-MM), expanding opportunities for girls through education, leadership development, and exposure to STEM.
The partnership brings together two initiatives that reflect a shared commitment to preparing girls for their futures: the DREAMS Foundation Annual Scholarship and the Foundation’s sponsorship of the Girl Scouts of South Carolina—Mountains to Midlands STEM Expo.

” Investing in the Next Generation Through the DREAMS Foundation Scholarship Established in late 2025, the DREAMS Foundation Scholarship was created in partnership with Girl Scouts of South Carolina—Mountains to Midlands to support the next generation of young leaders through education and opportunity.
The $500 scholarship is awarded annually to a college-bound Girl Scout who has earned the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest honor a Girl Scout can achieve. Gold Award Girl Scouts demonstrate exceptional leadership, initiative, and a commitment to creating meaningful and sustainable change in their communities.
The scholarship reflects the DREAMS Foundation’s commitment to curiosity, ambition, leadership, and a passion for learning—values that closely align with the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. By supporting a Gold Award Girl Scout as she transitions to higher education, the Foundation seeks to recognize her accomplishments while investing in the continued development of a promising young leader.
Creating Early Opportunities to Explore STEM
The partnership also extends to STEM education through the DREAMS Foundation’s sponsorship of the Girl Scouts of South Carolina—Mountains to Midlands STEM Expo, the council’s largest STEM celebration of the year.
The annual STEM Expo creates an interactive environment where girls and their families can explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through hands-on learning, demonstrations, problemsolving activities, and direct engagement with STEM professionals and community partners.
The DREAMS Foundation believes that early exposure to STEM can spark curiosity, build confidence, and broaden the possibilities young people envision for their futures. Supporting experiences that make STEM engaging and accessible is part of the Foundation’s broader commitment to developing an educated, prepared, and workforce-ready generation equipped to strengthen the Midlands and communities beyond.
The 2026 STEM Expo, held May 16 at The River Center at Saluda Shoals Park, offered participants opportunities to explore robotics, coding, engineering, computer-aided design, 3D modeling, environmental science, and other STEM disciplines. The event was presented by Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union, with sponsorship support from the DREAMS Foundation and Women of Asphalt South Carolina Branch.
Together, the DREAMS Foundation Scholarship and STEM Expo sponsorship create a continuum of investment—from sparking curiosity and encouraging exploration early in a girl's educational journey to recognizing leadership and supporting her pursuit of higher education.

Through this partnership, the DREAMS Foundation and Girl Scouts of South Carolina—Mountains to Midlands are working to expand access to experiences that encourage discovery, strengthen leadership, and support educational achievement.
